Amanda Bee Hot Summer

Amanda Bee completed a foundation in Art & Design at Lincoln College of Art, specialising in printing, before completing  a degree in Fine Art & Social Context at UWE Bristol. Amanda has trained as an adult education tutor and has worked in the Adult Learning sector for ten years. In 2018 she decided to pursue her art practice full time whilst  teaching four classes a week and workshops throughout the year. Amanda has exhibited extensively throughout the South West and has also completed a residency at Brisons Veor on Cape Cornwall.

"On-going engagement, through repeated visits to places of interest, is the cornerstone of my art practice. I’m drawn to wild, open spaces particularly in Cornwall and my immediate environment of Somerset and Wiltshire. I’m interested in the places where we feel at home and comfortable in a place well known. I create this feeling of deep connection through walking, observing and drawing".
