Zoom plate series was inspired by our recent dependence on online communications. Now that the covid pandemic is over zoom online meetings are still convenient ways of getting people together and sharing screens and information. I teach an online zoom art and art history class on Wednesday mornings with people attending from Greenwich to Cape Town. I have always been fascinated with the grid as compositional element and the zoom plates play with different expressions and moods described by lines as different faces and drawings in each square of the zoom meeting plate.
