Ginger Jar Charlotte Hardy
Charlottes work is driven by her imagination and love of pattern and nature. Decorative ceramics are set up in the studio with seasonal flowers and produce and a whimsical narrative starts to unfold in a playful and illustrative manner.
Inspiration comes from Folk and Outsider Art, antique samples and textiles, children’s artwork, museum collections, interiors of historic houses and the garden.
Charlotte graduated in Printed Textile Design from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1999. Since then, she has sold in galleries nationally and has had work published internationally. Her work is held in a museum collection and is collected across the world. Charlotte has also worked with Anthropologie, Penguin Books, Waitrose Food Illustrated Magazine and Nina Campbell and been the artist in residence at The Affordable Art Fair and run workshops at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Charlottes work was selected for the Royal Academy Summer Show in 2024 and she is currently exhibiting in the Saatchi Store in London.
