The Long Loop at Nagshead II was inspired by a walk in the Nagshead Nature Reserve in Parkend in November 2021 with my partner and young son. November is my favourite time to visit the Forest of Dean as the trees put on their most spectacular display of colours. Leaves littered the pathway which I’ve tried to capture in the drawing, a mixture of squiggles and lines conceal simple leaf motifs. I particularly enjoyed drawing the tangle of fallen twigs and branches on the right-hand side of the path.
