Beth Jenkins Night Lights
Paying homage to Japanese woodblock prints in style and colour, the print explores the way familiar landscapes are transformed by different light sources.
Educated in Swansea, Stroud and UWE, Beth Jenkins has degrees in Fine Art and Creative Practices.
For the past 15 years she has concentrated on printmaking, gaining a reputation for making beautiful coloured prints. Her skills as a printmaking tutor have been much in demand and she has taught throughout the UK, from Gloucestershire to Shetland. She has been a regular tutor at Gloucestershire Printmaking Co-operative as well as a long term member.
Her artist residencies include WWT Slimbridge, Oriel y Parc studio St Davids and Nature in Art, Gloucestershire. She has collaborated on public art projects for The Forestry Commission, Batsford Arboretum and Gloucester Culture Trust.
Beth’s work was featured in the inaugural ‘Masters of Relief Print’ exhibition at The Royal Society of Painter Printmakers exhibition in their Bankside gallery. She has exhibited widely throughout the UK, as well as with the Manhattan Graphics Centre in New York and at the Swedish Printmakers Association gallery in Stockholm.
