Artist’s statement:
Northern Light.
Light has always played a huge part in my work and while I love to enjoy those brilliantly lit times of day I am particularly drawn to what happens to the world as light fades. I am attracted to shadows and glimpsed illumination. I live at the top of a hill in a green space in the north east of Scotland– the sky is massive and looms and clouds are a large part of my view and of my sense of home. They frequently appear in my work.
Briony lives and works in Aberdeenshire and regularly exhibits throughout the UK
