Sandra Haney Glyme Lane Allotments

Originally from Oxfordshire, Sandra has been living in Durham for over 26 years. Graduating with BA Hons from Newcastle University in 1980. Sandra later moved to London where she studied part time Fine Art and Critical Studies at Central Saint Martin’s School of Art, and took part in various adult education classes in printmaking and sculpture.

Having explored a variety of media,  Sandra now paints mainly in oils and is inspired by the outdoors: rural and coastal landscapes, gardens and plants. Sometimes working en plein air, she paints her environment with varying degrees of abstraction. 

Sandra’s work sells internationally online and is also in the Biscuit Factory Gallery in Newcastle upon Tyne. As well as being in private collections, several of her works have been purchased by Interior designers for Omaze luxury houses in the Cotswolds, Harrogate and Devon. Her work has also been featured by Circle Foundation and LandE-Scape publications.
