Originally from London, Boo (b.1969) studied Graphic Design at Kingston. She went on to run her design studio ‘Nucleus’ based in West Hampstead, London. Her clients included, The ICA (Institute Of Contemporary Art), South Bank Centre, and Soul II Soul.
Twenty years later she moved to Suffolk and focussed on her painting. Working in acrylics and mixed media, she creates distinctive abstract works that embrace strong visual dynamics, colour and often, texture. Boo enjoys using negative space in her paintings, allowing the work ‘to breathe’. Her design background can be seen throughout her work. Boo loves to work with collage, oil sticks, spray paint and glazes. Her work is exhibited widely in the UK including, London, Suffolk and Harrogate. Boo’s paintings are collected worldwide including Europe, Asia and the USA
In 2022, 2023 and 2024, Hugo Barclay (Director of the Affordable Art Fair, London)  highlighted Boo’s work as one of his Director’s choices.
