Jane trained at Loughborough College of Art & Design. BA Textiles/Fashion, Specialist study Woven & Printed Textiles 1981, Liverpool Polytechnic. PGCE in Education and University of the West of England. MA Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking.

Recurring themes in Jane’s current work are the patterns and textures found in landscape and the history of land and habitation; working with print to explore the secrets held by the land. Her process is experimental, exploring both the surface qualities of collagraphs and the graphic shapes of cut lino. Layered and juxtaposed and asking questions. Book Arts are as important to her practice as printmaking. These allow her inquisitive nature to explore a wider range of issues and creative ideas.

Jane has won many Awards including the Meir Agassi Book Arts Prize 2012. Awarded for work made during her MA and has exhibited extensively including Royal West of England Academy, Bristol. Annual Open. Exhibited both prints and artist books 2012, 2014 & 2023
