Nicola Martin

Nicola Martin makes stoneware pieces with an emphasis on decorative glazes. Her ceramic vessels are a canvas onto which she ‘paints’ abstract images inspired by the patterns, shapes and texture of our island landscape viewed from the air, a process that is further enhanced by the unpredictable glaze alchemy that takes place in the kiln. Nicola was named as ‘One to Watch’ by Enki magazine in 2022, and was selected for the prestigious New Designers ‘One Year In’ Exhibition in Islington, London. She is currently continuing her studies and developing her ceramic practice at West Dean College of Arts & Conservation in Chichester.
